A Lily’s Tale
Despite the gloom
Still the lily blooms
Despite the fight
It reaches the light
Despite the darkness
Beneath its surface
Still its root
Begins to shoot
Despite the water being murky
Or even sometimes dirty
Still, it persists
And never resists
Despite the challenges ahead
Even for, the things it dreads
Slowly it grows
For all, it knows
Despite the gloom
The lily will bloom
And someday soon
It will be over the moon
